Erin Ivie brings to Full Court Press a range of experience in journalism and public relations, providing a powerful brand of storytelling and media strategy to the team.
During her years as a breaking news reporter for the San Jose Mercury News, Oakland Tribune and Contra Costa Times, Erin covered in-depth a variety of social topics including health care in California jails and prisons, veterans’ mental health care, the local impact of immigration reform, environmental issues on the California coast, and the effect of food insecurity and poor transit access on low-income families.
Since then, Erin has worked with a number of San Francisco public relations firms and has grown to specialize in strategic messaging, media relations, crisis communications and creative content. Her clients have ranged from racial justice, gender representation, environmental and education nonprofits to tech companies advancing social impact through innovation.
Erin grew up in the mountains of Park City, Utah and holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Utah. An avid yogi, you can usually find her upside-down on a mat somewhere, or getting creative with her DIY project du jour.
